TRADE AGREEMENTS
Costa Rica has pursued a commercial policy that has allowed it to have a higher presence in the world markets, being able to have an active participation in the multilateral system, the promotion of regional integration, and the engagement in multiple negotiations of free trade agreements.
Currently, Costa Rica has free trade agreements with the following:
- Central America
- Canada
- CARICOM: Free Trade Agreement between the Caribbean countries and the Republic of Costa Rica
- Chile
- The People's Republic of China
- CAFTA-DR: Free Trade Agreement with the Dominican Republic, Central America and the United States
- Mexico
- Panama
- Dominican Republic
The following treaties are currently being negotiated:
- AACUE: Association Agreement between Central America and the European Union
- Free Trade Agreement between Singapore and Costa Rica
- Free trade Agreement with Peru
